The Retake Plan · PDF, 2 pages

Didn't make it last time? Your score says how far. Your Miss Log says where.

The Retake Plan

A plan for the days between an unsuccessful attempt and the next one. It starts from two things you already have, your score report and your Miss Log, and gives you a fifteen-day grid: one box a day, weakest subject first.

What is inside

  • What the score report tells you and what it leaves out: how far you were from the score you needed, not where
  • Where the days go: count your misses by subject and start with the subject that has the most
  • One way to split the fifteen days, to change if your log says so
  • When to book: fifteen days is the registry's minimum wait, not a target
  • The Fifteen-Day Grid: one box a day for the subject, the pages you read and the misses you logged
  • Prints on US Letter, or write on it on a tablet

Questions

Does the score report show my weak areas?

No. It is one score, and how far it sits from the score you needed. The registry says it gives no information about your specific weaknesses. That is why the plan takes the where from your Miss Log.

Do I need the notes?

The plan sends you to pages and counts on a Miss Log, so it works best with them. That's why it comes free with the notes.

Does it promise a result?

No. It is a way to put the days before your next attempt in order. It promises nothing about the result.

Is it a clinical reference?

No. It's study material for the certification exam. It doesn't replace your program, your local protocols or your medical director.
